Financial Support

College Avenue commits over one fifth of its budget to missions each year through the International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board, in addition to sponsoring short-term trips each year and local / community missions.

Each year monetary goals are set through our WOM group for our church regarding the Lottie Moon Christmas IMB offering, the Mary Hill offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter offering.

Mary Hill Davis - Since 1910, Texas Baptists have collected an offering for missions needs in Texas. In 1935, the Texas Offering was named for Mary Hill Davis, president of WMU of Texas and a tireless supporter of Texas missions.

Lottie Moon at Work

Lottie Moon Christmas offering - Southern Baptist churches collect this offering for the purpose of supporting international missions.  Every penny of the offering goes to the International Mission Board's overseas budget, thus supporting our missionaries and their work.

Each year, the life and work of Annie Walker Armstrong (1850-1938) is honored when we give to the annual offering for North American missions named after her. Annie Armstrong led women to unite in mission endeavors that ultimately led to the formation of Woman's Missionary Union.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from
darkness for the prisoners.   Isaiah 61:1
